Groutville


Description:


Groutville was formerly known as Umvoti. The town is part of the Ilembe District Municipality.  It was established by Reverend Aldin Grout in 1844, he was from the American Missionary Society and it was named after him.
 
The town is also the hometown of Nobel Peace Winner Chief Albert Luthuli.
